A long-established, high-performance manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations and support strategic decision-making.

Position Overview

The Controller will manage all financial activities for the Los Angeles division, overseeing a small team and partnering closely with executive leadership. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing environment and brings strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities.

Ideal Background

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting
  • Experience as a Controller or Senior Accounting Leader in a similar environment
  • Background supporting a business with approximately $20M+ in annual revenue
  • Manufacturing industry experience
  • Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with Global Shop Solutions is a plus, but not required
  • Must have prior management experience
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities
  • Innovative, proactive, and solutions-oriented
  • Comfortable working onsite and engaging directly with operational teams

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of two: AP Clerk and AR Clerk
  • Oversee monthly financial statement preparation, P&L management, and cash flow analysis
  • Handle higher-level banking operations including wires, fund transfers, and treasury-related activity
  • Coordinate with an external CPA firm for quarterly reporting, reviews, and financial oversight
  • Maintain financial controls, ensure accuracy, and support operational decision-making
  • Collaborate directly with the President and cross-functional leaders
